I've noticed that too. Usually they rarely use words like "Fuck" and "Asshole" in the English dub, while they do use such language in the Original versions. This might slowly be a new direction.

Honestly it depends. In this anime, it works well because it is used artistically. I have seen some shows where they just put swears in to fill up time "like I'm so effing happy for you," and that just takes away the beauty of the anime.

the only difference between the subs and the dubs of this anime is that, the latter has a lot of profanity that you can literally hear. As for the subs, it's normal for a 15+ or 17+ anime you'd hear harassments and vulgar dialogues. but not straight up profanity that can make this 18+ instead.
